pumpkin love

autumn is the best time of year for chemical peels, from A to Zinc

during Autumn, as the daylight hours begin to shorten, the sun is naturally limiting its exposure, decreasing the risk of further sun damage to the skin. temperatures begin to drop, there is less humidity/moisture in the air & your skin tends to be on the drier side. these conditions create the ideal setting for a chemical peel.*

pumpkin enzymes are especially gentle on the skin. loaded with skin-exfoliating alpha hydroxy acids, (AHAs work on the skin’s surface to dissolve the connecting bonds ‘intercellular glue’ which holds the dead skin cells together) the molecular structure of the pumpkin is extremely small allowing these enzymes to penetrate deeper into the skin. removing dull, dry & flaky dead skin cells results in smoother skin texture. all of this fancy speak equals properly treated, moisture & hydration for the fresh skin underneath.

pumpkins contain high levels of vitamins A & C, that soften & soothe the skin while boosting the collagen production to support & prevent the early signs of aging. pumpkins are a great source of B vitamins such as Niacin, Riboflavin, B6 & Folate. Niacin improves circulation which can reduce skin inflammation. Folate helps to increase circulation, which improves the cell turnover process.

pumpkins are high in essential fatty acids & vitamin E, which are necessary to provide both the maintenance & protection of healthy skin.

Zinc is extremely beneficial when combating acne, it assists in balancing sebum production & repairing injured skin.

suki’s resurfacing enzyme peel contains pumpkin, papain & apple enzymes, which brightens a dull complexion, combats hyperpigmentation & smooths uneven skin.

by applying a thin layer of a chemical peel to the skin, dry & damaged cells are removed. suki's resurfacing enzyme peel is like no other, our safe for sensitives format provides a stable slow-acting high-potency exfoliation process with absolutely no downtime, stripping or peeling. just apply for 5-20 mins then rinse. this peel will help to reveal the fresh, vibrant & more evened skin underneath. a great benefit is experienced for people who suffer from rosacea & eczema and who cannot use a manual exfoliant.

*on that note - there are two main types of exfoliators manual & chemical:

a manual exfoliant such as (suki’s exfoliate foaming cleanser) uses the physical action of rounding sugar granules to buff & remove dead skin cells & impurities from the skin.

chemical exfoliants such as (suki’s resurfacing enzyme peel) uses pumpkin, papain, & apple enzymes to purify & weaken dead skin cells for easy removal while deeply cleansing the pore channels.

pumpkins are full of antioxidants, which are essential to fighting off free radicals that contribute to aging. pumpkins are a great addition to support your ideal skin goals from A to Zinc.
